If you like IP Funny...

We, a bunch of IP attorneys, created IP Funny as a place where we could pile up all of the crazy, funny, sick and crude things we stumble across.  It has been a lot of fun.  I'm glad we've entertained you.

BUT.  There are professionals in this funny IP business.  People we can't compete with...crikey, they're professionals.  Who am I referring to?  Daniel Wright at Patently Silly.  Of course, he IS a stand up comic, so it really isn't a fair fight.

Shark shocking wet suit

Of course, I'd worry about whether in case of malfunction the shark would let you cook for a while before eating you.  Mmm....BBQ.

Insane software patent

Nintendo has a new software patent...it is insane.

Abstract
A video game and game system incorporating a game character's sanity level that is affected by occurrences in the game such as encountering a game creature or gruesome situation. A character's sanity level is modified by an amount determined based on a character reaction to the occurrence such as taking a rest or slowing game progress and/or an amount of character preparation. That is, if a character is prepared for the particular occurrence, the occurrence may have little or no affect on the character's sanity level. As the character's sanity level decreases, game play is effected such as by controlling game effects, audio effects, creating hallucinations and the like. In this context. the same game can be played differently each time it is played.

Using Blawg.org to pat yourself on the back

Not really IP, but it is Funny.

First, Larry Bodine posts on how Patrick Lamb is now the King of Blawgs because he has the most hits on Blawg.org.  Then, Tom Mighell posts on Between Lawyers about how to really measure who is the top blawg. 

What is funny is what Blawg.org actually measures.  It measures clicks.  Thus, if you sit there and vote for yourself over and over and over again (which you can do)...you quickly move to the top.

I'm not saying that Patrick has clicked his own blog's name 16000 times, who knows who made those clicks.  What I am saying is that the "most popular" measures nothing useful. 

So...if your blawg isn't on the "most popular" list...happy clicking.  Or...you could pick some obscure blawg and vote for them.
